Memorial Biography

Kevin Thomas Blandin, age 39, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019, at his residence in Ocala, FL. He was born November 15, 1979, in Baltimore, MD, to Donald Thomas Blandin and Joyce Darlene (Henning) Blandin Tebbetts. He grew up in Severna Park, MD and Dunnellon, FL and attended Dunnellon High School. He was a 2009 graduate of Central Florida Community College and held an Information Technology degree. He loved working with computers but you were going to get a ration of crap if you bought a Mac. Kevin loved dogs. He was without a doubt a most delightful a-hole. He was boisterous and brilliant. He laughed with abandon and loved snacking. He took friendship seriously and never let you wallow in your misery. He did whatever it took to help a friend in need, and was generous to a fault. He was not one to let convention or sour opinions ruin a good time. He practiced the subtle art of not giving a “F” long before it was trending. To know him was to be terrified of what happened next. It could be a brilliant, yet terrifying, discussion of where humanity was going, or you could be his next prank. Kevin loved to make you laugh and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for it. When he made unexpected visits he always left a classic Kevin calling card behind. He really loved dogs. Good people love dogs. Kevin was preceded in death by his father in May 2000 and his mother in July 2018. He is survived by his sister, brother-in-law, nephew, and niece; Jennifer, Jeremy, Robby and Morgan Rollins. Also survived by his second family, Barbara & Emmett Cyrus and best friend/brother, Shawn Panzegraf as well as many lifelong, close friends that are considered brothers-from-another-mother. Family, friends, and others whose lives Kevin touched are invited to Rainbow Springs State Park, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, February 16th, 2019, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, roast him with stories of prank and debauchery.
